Cat Foster Application
Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a foster parent for The Feline Foundation. Foster parents provide stray, abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens a bridge between their unhappy pasts and permanent, loving adoptive homes. Please take a few minutes to complete the following application. A volunteer will be in touch with you shortly after receiving your completed application
We specialize in matching cats and kittens
with adoptive parents based on applications and in-depth interviews to
identify the kitty characteristics that will best suit the prospective
owner’s desires and lifestyle.
To be considered as a foster, you must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Have identification showing your present address
- Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord
- Acknowledge that all FFGW cats must be kept indoors

I understand that the behavior and actions of any animal can be unpredictable, and that in working with animals, personal injury or property damage my occur. Being aware of the risks that may be involved, I release from liability the Feline Foundation of Greater Washington, it’s volunteers, officers, directors and employees for any and all personal injury or property damage resulting from my volunteer work.
I also understand that as a foster, FFGW will pay for medical care, but ALL
medical care must be preauthorized. I understand that cats are the property of FFGW, and must be returned on demand. As a crosspost foster, FFGW will NOT
be responsible for medical costs.
By submitting this application, I certify that neither I, nor any other person residing in my home, has even been convicted of animal cruelty, neglect or abandonment (required by Virginia state law)
FFGW maintains contact information including email and street addresses of applications in order to communicate about cats for adoption, and to provide email communication on FFGW events and efforts. FFGW does not sell or disclose this information to 3rd parties.
