Adoptable Cats
We specialize in matching cats and kittens with homes that will best suit your desires & lifestyle. Cats and kittens who are available for adoption are fostered by generous volunteers and can be visited by appointment in their foster homes, at a monthly adoption fair or other adoption events.
FFGW Adoption Policy:
- We match the personality of the cat to the adoptive home. This means that many kittens, even older kittens, are not able to be adopted as only cats.
- Kittens in a litter must be adopted as pairs with a littermate, regardless of age.
- When we do have an older kitten without a bonded littermate, we will assess their personality and the home environment as to whether the best fit may be adopting into a home with a resident cat that is 1 year or under, with a cat-friendly dog, or as a single.

Feline Foundation of Greater Washington
Formed in 1995, the mission of the Feline Foundation of Greater Washington is to provide necessary veterinary and loving foster care for every animal in our program, to find them permanent, adoptive homes where they will be treated with love and respect for the rest of their lives, to provide foster care for life if no adoptive home can be found, and to educate the public regarding responsible cat care. We are a 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 54-1749459).
